Penny Metropulos, directing The Liar, by David Ives, adapted from the comedy by Pierre Corneille.
Penny Metropulos has directed productions for regional theatres throughout the country including The Arena Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, The Denver Center Theatre Company, The Guthrie Theatre, and Syracuse Stage, among others. At the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (where she served as Associate Artistic Director for 12 years) she has directed over 20 productions.
In addition to adapting The Three Musketeers, she co-authored a musical adaptation of William Saroyan's Tracy's Tiger as well as a musical adaptation of The Comedy of Errors. All three premiered at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
John Tillinger, directing Bedroom Farce by Alan Ayckbourn
No stranger to our audiences, Playhouse favorite John Tillinger returns to our stage after his most recent success with Things We Do For Love to direct Alan Ayckbourn's hilarious comedy about the messiness and unintentional drama of adult relationships.
Previous Playhouse credits include Ayckbourn's How the Other Half Loves and Relatively Speaking. A multiple Tony Award-nominee, among his numerous Broadway credits are Ayckbourn's Absurd Person Singular, Inherit the Wind, Loot, Arthur Miller's The Price, and A.R. Gurney's Sweet Sue.
