Week 6: Up 'n Running
Dear Kitty 2.0,
We did it! Okay. It's been a while since I wrote because, well, I've been a little busy. Alright, a lot busy. BUT! We made it! We opened! And now we can all breathe a little easier. Although I'm currently typing this on the train up to Westport across from Ari and Monica because I'm trying to take full advantage of any spare time I might be blessed to have right now.
Opening night was… opening night. I never feel like I have my strongest performances on an opening night, because I'm either too distracted or too excited or too nervous or too something. Which is not to say I wasn't happy with it; as I said, it's difficult to gauge how a show goes, especially with this play. We actually had a few sound and light mishaps on opening night because of some issues with the soundboard, but we managed to cover it okay. And then we all got gussied up for our party and made our way to the hotel where we (okay, SOME of us) gorged on late-night pizza in my room. A good time had by all.
