Dear Kitty 2.0,

Just a quick update: we had a full run-through Sunday that I felt really good about.  I had a fitting and a wig consultation, both of which went well, too.  The costumes have proved to be a bit tricky for this production since we’re using only existing clothing and all changes have to be done onstage or in the Annex WC!  In the first Act, I’m fairly certain I’ll be wearing a big wool jumper that hides any semblance of my shape, which is exactly what I was hoping for.  In the rehearsal space (in my everyday clothes) it’s occasionally a bit difficult to really “feel” thirteen, as opposed to sort of “playing precocious”.  But sometimes that’s just the added push that costumes or wigs provide; I know I won’t feel like myself when I’m playing Anne.  Can’t wait to get on the stage now...

Today is Yom Kippur so we have off from rehearsal today.  We’ve got a full day tomorrow, and we’ll finally meet our three remaining cast members, the fellows playing the Nazis.  Then rehearsal on Monday.  Then I head back out to LA Monday night, shoot on Tuesday, back in on Wednesday morning for more rehearsing, then tech rehearsals start Friday.  In Westport.  Where we’ll stay overnight for two nights.  Sluuumber paaaarty!

Buckle your seatbelts, kids.

As we segue from the rehearsal period into teching the show, I’d like to take any questions you might have about the rehearsal-room process.   (Or anything other burning questions.)  I see that there’s a little “comments” doohickey here, so if you’ve got something to ask, ask away!  And I shall answer it for you!  (Or try.)
